As a photographer, I occasionally like to stretch myself creatively. As a lifelong Columbusite and fourth generation local business owner, my roots run deep in this community. I've been privileged to grow up here, and have chosen to raise my family here. The Columbus area keeps growing and changing, but there is a constant factor that doesn't change: incredible individuals.
The Local100 Project is a personal project designed to showcase the people of Columbus and surrounding areas. My goal is to shine light on the diversity of our local culture, highlighting several generations. I will be accepting applications and choosing one person born in each of the past 100 years. If you are selected, we will contact you in order to set up your studio portrait session. When all of the portraits are complete, they will be placed on exhibit in my studio. The gallery exhibit will be open to our participants as well as to the public. After the exhibit, each participant will receive their own locally printed fine art portrait as a thank you and keepsake.
This project is born out of a desire to create. I look forward to the chance to capture, to document, and to celebrate a sampling of the people that come together to form our community.
